Reply:a lot of people just leave em on the pallet.until i find a place where i want to wire it in, its staying semi-portable
Reply:No bolts on my 5hp 80 gal Champion. I do have a 2' chunk of 1 1/2" rubber jack hammer hose between tank and piping for my flex hose."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!" - duaneb55"I have bought a few of Tbone's things unlike Stick-Man who helps himself" - TozziWelding"Stick-man"
Reply:11 years on the same crappy pallet it shipped on. 80 gallon.Gonna use vibration mounts someday.Tim Beeker.

Reply:We bolted ours to the floor. Yup, we used those wedge type cement anchor bolts. It's been 11 years in the current shop and all is still fine. It was in our previous shop for about 10-15 years before that anchored down the same way.Definitely use a piece of hose to connect to your air piping.Andrew
Reply:If you bolt in down....   leave 1 bolt loose   very important. If you don't It can break the tank feet, the backet on the top of the tank that the motor and pump are mounted to,or the backet on the elec. motor.  The vibration needs to go somewhere. I know people say that's what the rubber pads are for.  NOT! It doesn't happen alot but it does happen.   I do about 4 of these repairs a year.Just my .02 DayePound to fit, paint to match
Reply:thanks guys i think im just gonna epoxy some threaded rod into the concrete  then i will put the pads down and tank over that and probably just snugem down with some rubber washers so it still has some wiggle but wont walk off now to figure out my piping 350P 30A spool gun cut master 51  syncro 250 other stuff " take a dog off the street and make him prosper and he will not bite you sad the same cannot be said for man" i didnt use punctuation just to piss you off

Reply:I just bolt rubber pads to the feet.  Hasn't moved a bit.  5hp 60 gallon. My name's not Jim....
Reply:I'm with Boostinjdm, I used carriage bolts and bolted some 1" thick live rubber under the support/anchor legs, I sucked them up enough that they were below the surface of the rubber giving complete rubber to concrete contact. The rubber absorbs the vibration very well and the unit doesn't walk around one bit. Good luck and best regards, Allanaevald
Reply:drop-ins anchors work awsomePound to fit, paint to match
Reply:If it's an upright tank you can leave it on the skid unless you're worried about knocking it over. If it's horizontal then care should be taken leveling the feet. A soft foot can cause all sorts of problems with the motor and pump besides the extra stress on one or more feet.Matt
Reply:I have a 25cfm@175 psi 80 gal upright compressor mounted on 3 sponge hockey pucks it hasn't moved a bit. I like to watch it start, it rocks about an inch. The pucks are bolted to the legs and they sit on the floor.Leo
