Hey, I just welded today for the second time with this machine, a Lincoln Pro Mig 180. I welded some legs on a trampoline. I posted after the first time welding the top of a swing that the gun got a little warm, and today after welding the trampoline legs, I noticed it didn't seem as hot but when looking it over I noticed that the back of the gun handle has a crack in it and the tube part of the gun with the curve in it that the nozzle screws onto also has a crack in it. I figure this may be the culprit of the warming. I was to late to contact Lincoln today and will have to wait till Monday morning. Can you tell me how they will warranty this? Will they simply put one in the mail right to me? I purchased this welder new on 4/26/07 from Lowes. I hope it is not a long process trying to get this fixed. ThanksWhitey
Reply:If you still have yur receit for it take the whole unit back to Lowes and they will replaced unit or the part. I have done this with other power equipment with no problems.
Reply:i think lowes has a 30 day return on stuff like that. when i bought my mig they told me if i didnt like it to bring it back within 30 days and i would get a full refund. cant beat that! |
