PRO-MIG 175 using 140 cables?

Hi, I am new to welding but can't wait to get started, especially after seeing some of the great projects posted here by you guys!I just bought a PRO-MIG 175 at Lowes for $245 because it was a display model and it didn't come with anything but the unit. No gun & cable assembly or input cable. My question is this: Can I safely use the components from a PRO-MIG 140 for use on the 175? Thanks!
Reply:I have a 140. I know the cable is the same as the 180. The 175 is the older model. It should be safe, but I dont know if the parts will fit. I can tell you that the spoolgun made to go with the 140 & 180 only fit those two. Why not order a 175 setup? Reply:Thanks for the input MB. Your right, I should just order the parts. A friend was going to give me his 140 cables, so I thought I could save a few bucks, but I'm sure I'd be better off knowing I have the right stuff.
Reply:I'd bet it's the same.  Same as with Millers/Hobarts, probably, where the 140A units use the same gun and work lead as the 180A units and even the new 210A Hobart.
