Someone gave me a tweco gun from a millermatic 250 that I like but my welder is a Lincoln power mig 255. Is it possible to change out the back end to fit my welder? Thank You

Reply:Yes you can change it. Another source is Profax check there catalog. should be Profax # R174-L call them to verify 281-485-6258
Reply:Thanks for info! I will probably just end up taking the gun in to my local welding supply store and see if they can get the stuff. I just didn't want to go to the trouble if it wasn't possible . Thanks again. I think I'm going to like this forum quite a bit!!!
Reply:Hope your LWS is better than mine, for me most times it is easier to order on-line. LWS has people that are not knowledgeable and low inventory. Now Praxair bought them out and have not improved. Part of the problem is, live just outside of South Texas Eagle Ford Shale area.
Reply:It all depends. What BRAND are the guns? I know you said tweco, but is it a legit tweco or a 3rd party that uses tweco front end parts. The back end is what matters. The cable is crimped and has threads on it, so you can unscrew the back end of the gun and screw on whatever you want, it just has to match the threads on the other gun.
