Hello all! I am the f.n.g. here & I just replaced my unreliable p.o.s. Miller Trailblazer with a Lincoln Vantage 400. Anyhow I heard that splicing into the trucks fuel tank & running a line to the welder will give you a neverending supply of fuel (as long as the truck fuel tank has fuel). Can anyone give me some ideas or plans on how to successfully feed diesel from my truck to the diesel welder that's mounted on it? Thanks, Bill.
Reply:It depends on which truck you have. If the fuel pump in in the tank of the truck, it might be tricky. What year make and model is your truck?DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:Also check and see the engine on your welder returns fuel to the tank. That would be a problem if you ended up drawing fuel from the trucks tank and returning it to the welders tank.
Reply:My truck is a 1999 Ford Superduty 7.3 diesel. Thanks, Bill.

Reply:We use "L" shaped fuel cells in the backs of our trucks, pro-tec toolbox fits on top of that and still leaves room for welder and gear in the back of the bed.2011 Dodge 3500 diesel duallyLincoln SA-200Lincoln SAE-300LN-25'sLincoln Idealarc R3RMiller Trailblazer 302 |
