Can you cut aluminum with the OFC process?? If you can is it a nice cut? And if you can't Why??
Reply:NO. It will just melt Al. Oxy acetylene cuts on the pemiss of the chemical reaction between O2 and the the Fe in the steel after the initial preheat is done. No Fe in Al.
Reply:Oxyacetylene cuts by oxidizing the iron in the metal. Steel's just about the only material that it'll cut: no iron, no oxidation.
