Reply:Actually I've had a number of commercial heat guns like that for years. It will blow away the cheapy Wagner and B&D guns from home centers. They are tanks and weigh a ton compared to the others. On high theres a good chance you will seriously burn yourself if you get an unprotected hand less than 3" from the end of the gun. I'll have to look at how many watts it puts out, but I'm guessing it maxes out a 15 amp 110v breaker from experience. Thats probably at least 1500 watts in a very small area. You need to take care if you don't want to burn/scorch paint, wood etc with them.The reason it looks like that is simple. It's basic, functional and it works. No fancy folding "ergonomic" design BS. Those of us a bit older will remember when all hair dryers used to look like this. Reply:Those heat guns are awesome! It only looks like a hair dryer, it's actually a hair melter! They will singe the hair right off your knuckles if you get too close, they work so good!
