helping a friend on a project. 1/4 .035 wall chromolly tube frame. Non critical welds (roll cage for an RC car) should we just use mig wire for filler? I did some practice joints today with .045 70s2 (smallest I had on hand) but welds were fat.
Reply:Mig wire works great for filler
Reply:Agreed I do it all the time if I do have any thin filler.....works great.Sent from my XT1080 using TapatalkAWS 17.1, D1.1 and ASME IX (GTAW)Miller Syncrowave 350LX, Maxstar 150sth, Maxstar 200DX and  Millermatic 252 w/ Spoolmatic 30aMiller buzz box with Lincolin TombstoneThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 38

Reply:You could braze it otherwise. There wouldn't be any fat welds then, for sure.
Reply:Thanks everyone. not up on the mig side of things I did not know you could get it down to .024.
