Picked some stuff up in MO.This is the reason I really don't need ramps. Everything will be loaded with stuff capable of lifting the weight, and moving it.Headed home, and wound up driving over 150mi of the trip in heavy rain. I'd really recommend buying the best tires you can for trailers. I was very happy with the heavier duty radials. They run very nice in the rain, and have no tracking/sway issues on wet pavement. Hydroplaning is always an issue, but cutting your speed generally is the best way to deal with it.I like the handling better when the trailer has a load on it. The truck rides smoother. I don't use bumper pulls ever, as a matter of fact..this is my first bumper pull trailer of any size. I don't like the ride compared to a gooseneck, but it does smooth out when there's some weight on the hitch. Can't really tell it's there.I figured a medium length trip (500mi), and a light load, would give it a good shakeout to see if there are any major issues. All seems well so far.Amazing how fast you eat up the available floor space"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/

Reply:What you need is a good old 16,000 pound excavator at your place to load and unload with. I'll have one for sale later this year (located in SE Louisiana).GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.
Reply:Nice ! I like having equipment to load with too. I bought a one ton electric chain fall last year and wonder why I didn't by one sooner, cheap I guess. Pushing a button us easier then pulling on a chain.

Reply:I wasn't even paying attention to it when I first saw the photo. I've got a older larger brother to that welder. It's got it plus points. Very low noise, super fuel economy, and lots of power. The arc is a little different. It's ok, just not as smooth as I like from my higher end welders.Millermatic 252XMT 304'sDynasty 280DXHypertherm PowerMax 1250Miller Trailblazer 302 EFIOptima PulserXR feeder and XR Edge gun and more athttp://members.dslextreme.com/users/waynecook/index.htm
