Transporting a Miller 252 on its side?!?

I have an eye on a Miller 252, but don't have my truck at the house.  So if I go pick it up I'll have to put it in my car.  Would there be a problem if I picked the welder up and transported it on its side?Thanks,Bryan
Reply:Don't see any reason why not, just remove any wire inside it and the gun first, and use common sense.I once put an MM 200 in the trunk of my Chevy Caviler and it sort of laid on its side. No issues.Expert Garage Hack....https://www.facebook.com/steven.webber.948
Reply:Good to hear, thanks.  I was concerned about knocking a board or transformer loose and tearing something up inside the box.  Good call on removing the wire too.  I can see how being shaken around with some weight could mess up the drive.Bryan
Reply:I see a problem, they weight a touch over 200 pounds.I see someone hurting their back getting it into, or out of, a trunk.Plus,the dimensions will make it hard to swing over and stuff into the trunk.Other than that - I say good to go. Reply:Just be careful that you let it sit upright for at least 30 minutes afterward to let all the electrons settle back down to the horizontal position.
