My son is taking a course at a secondary school here in Mpls. (Dunwoody) He is working with a lathe, so i asked him if he could do anything with the set of very badly worn half nuts for my Clausing lathe, they are 7/8" ACME thread @ 8 TPI..Left Hand thread...... VERY, VERY hard to find,a lot in the 3/4" range, but try 7/8..... and a tap is even harder to find unless ya want to spend several hundred for one. Any way, he came home the next day and said he could not do anything for the Nuts...I was not shocked, but i was when he handed me a almost NEW set, the teacher just GAVE them to my kid....Now that's a nice teacher....I have been looking to them things for over a year....
