Duties & Responsibilities Performs welding, repair and fabrication Able to sit for extended periods of time, walk, stand, climb, and reach Ability to perform extensive physical activities of a primarily productive/technical nature (i.e.walking, reaching, bending, lifting, carrying) Use of both arms and hands required Visual acuity, finger dexterity, color discernment Occasionally work in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment, including noise,extreme temperatures and humidity, odors, dust, etc. Work performed near moving mechanical parts, in the presence of welding fumes or airborneparticles, and loud noises associated with manufacturing. Assists Shop Manager as needed May make emergency roadside repairs as needed Performs general clean-up of work areas Follows safety policies and procedures as written 40 hours per week and overtime on an as needed basis Work is performed 50% outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather and 50%indoors Communicate with mechanics and plant manager to ensure adherence to preventativeequipment maintenance policies and practices Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by managementJob Requirements: Climbing up & down ladder throughout the day Sitting, standing and moving throughout the day Squatting and stretching (ability to inspect undercarriage condition of vehicle) Must be able to read, write, and speak English (Bilingual a plus) Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing regularly Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently,and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to pushing,turning, and/or pulling of controls Ability to work 8-12 hours/day as necessary
