Duties & Responsibilities Performs welding, repair and fabrication Able to sit for extended periods of time, walk, stand, climb, and reach Ability to perform extensive physical activities of a primarily productive/technical nature (i.e.walking, reaching, bending, lifting, carrying) Use of both arms and hands required Visual acuity, finger dexterity, color discernment Occasionally work in conditions typical of a manufacturing environment, including noise,extreme temperatures and humidity, odors, dust, etc. Work performed near moving mechanical parts, in the presence of welding fumes or airborneparticles, and loud noises associated with manufacturing. Assists Shop Manager as needed May make emergency roadside repairs as needed Performs general clean-up of work areas Follows safety policies and procedures as written 40 hours per week and overtime on an as needed basis Work is performed 50% outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather and 50%indoors Communicate with mechanics and plant manager to ensure adherence to preventativeequipment maintenance policies and practices Perform other job responsibilities as assigned by managementJob Requirements: Climbing up & down ladder throughout the day Sitting, standing and moving throughout the day Squatting and stretching (ability to inspect undercarriage condition of vehicle) Must be able to read, write, and speak English (Bilingual a plus) Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing regularly Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently,and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to pushing,turning, and/or pulling of controls Ability to work 8-12 hours/day as necessary
