LN 25 set up.

Before I buy the wire and wheels and the unit, can I run this feeder with a 200 amp buzzer? I am thinking .035 outershield wire.

Reply:If it is an AC machine no, DC it with be ok for thick stuff with solid wire, or NR-211 flux core. You really need CV for pushing wire.Disclaimer; "I am just an a$$hole welder, don't take it personally ."

Reply:Nope. But I like my LN-25 hooked up to my GX271 engine drive or EX300 Inverter. It welds as good as any MIG I have used and I have used some monsters.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.
Reply:I have the AC/DC version of the lincoln in the pic.  Someone on here had pointed out to me that there was a switch on the inside of the LN-25 for  CV or CC that I hadn't noticed, so I went to the shop and tried it.  I tried switching everything around that I could think of be just couldn't get it to work right.  If anybody else has this figured out let me know.DewayneDixieland WeldingMM350PLincoln 100Some torchesOther misc. tools
Reply:There is a chart inside the LN-25 that tells how to set the wire feed speed dial when using it on a cc power source.I've heard that you're still very limited in what processes you can use, and even then it takes a steady hand, (and I'm guessing, lots of practice) to get weld you can be proud of.  I've never tried it myself... just passing on something I've heard. Reply:I've tried mine on cc, and my hefty as well. I wouldn't use it for anything that had to hold much. Running wire on a cc-dc machine is not recommended for any critical application.The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist.
Reply:CC/DCEP and gas work well, but it takes practice.  If used on automatic equipment, with a constant ESO, it works wonders.   JohnSMAW,GMAW,FCAW,GTAW,SAW,PAC/PAW/OFCand Shielding Gases.  There all here. :

Reply:I put the LN-25 on E-Bay. I don't need that kind of welder at home. I used some of the proceeds to purchase a gas conversion kit for my Weld Pak 100.......Thanks for all the replies.Some things can't be carried in a tool bucket.
