Other uses for Tungsten???

Has anybody taken some Tungsten and put a sharp tip on it and then cast a lead bullet around it?I had a guy ask me for Tungsten for that purpose. He was shooting through 2 inch solid steel discs I made for him to hang. Swinging targets. I didnt believe him until he gave me the discs back. Reply:the military makes bullets out of the depleted uranium from rectors as it goes through anything....then breaks apart and give radioactive poisoning to whoever is still alive...as far as tungsten..I have a few stuck in the ceiling after shooting them with a rubber band...lolOf all the things I lost I miss my mind the most...I know just enough about everything to be dangerous......You cant cure stupid..only kill it...

Reply:Some surplus 7.62x54r ammo is steel core, and boy do they penetrate. I imagine with the added mass of the tungsten you'd have a pretty serious round on your hands. Not sure about the legality though, a tungsten core would definitely put them in the AP category.
Reply:I don't remember what size he wanted. I didn't supply him. I just told him where to get it and to not say what he wanted it for. He called me for many things. I made some money off of him and his company a few times. Reply:for added effect, drill a small pocket in the tip of a large caliber round, and put a primer in the pocket (backwards, so it fires when it hits the target). Haven't tried tungstens yet, might give that a try...
