my arc looks terrible on my tig welder

So I just started tig welding and my looks is completely crazy it's like a flame thrower I've tried adjusting everything. I don't know if it's my sheilding gas I have straight argon but every time I hit the trigger I hear the gas flow inside my machine I Dont know if that's normal since it's my first time using any sheilding gas. I have a ahp alpha tig 200x

Reply:So after talking to the mechanic George It looks like we got it sorted out my tungsten had been contaminated and my post flow was way to low my welds look cleaner now. They are pretty or perfect but a lot better now thanks for the help Attached Images

Reply:I'm at 100 amp with 1/8inch aluminum. And yeah the back of the aluminum has the welds popping out alot
Reply:As someone being new to tig it will take some time to get thing to go the way you want. Reply:For 1/8 flat weld like that start it at 150 amps for the first inch or so then back off a little or start speeding up then post the pic back up. Too cold in post # 14
