I have a friend that is looking to sell a 2006 Hobart champion 10,000 with 1,000 hours on the machine. What would be a good price to start this machine out at? Thanks!

Reply:Just the machine, I agree with jsm11. Does it have leads? Add a $1 per foot if it does. You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else. Albert Einstein
Reply:I think $1500 would be tops depending on its overall conditon and apperence. Those hobarts had really low duty cycles and weren't that great even from the factory.Vantage 300 kubota ,miller 304 xmt ,lincoln ln 25 pro , ranger 305 G, plenty of other tools of the trade to make the sparks fly.
Reply:They are also CC only. And I don't believe that those older ones had any generator power while welding. I won't swear to that though.StephenMillermatic 251Miller Syncrowave 200Miller 30A SpoolgunHypertherm Powermax 30Etc., etc., etc.............Cancer Sucks!
Reply:I would say wait out for a better unit. I just bought a miller bobcat nt from the lws that was a rental unit. It came with leads and it had been serviced. It's got a few small dents in it but being pretty don't make it weld. Wait it out and see what else you can find before sinking money into it.Last edited by Tri County Welder; 12-08-2010 at 07:59 PM.Miller Bobcat 250Westinghouse ac arc welderIts better to be hated for who you are than liked for who your not. |
