K664-2 Aluminum Welding Kit

i have a weld pak 175 and i was wondering if i need to buy this kit for welding alluminum?  can i get by without it?
Reply:If it's like the kit for a SP135+, the kit has a plastic feed liner for the gun cable (coiled wire liner is standard), plastic feed guides for the feed rollers, and feed rollers with the correct size grooves for Al wire.  The standard parts have too much friction for the Al wire to pass through, and the wire jams and creates a bird's nest, usually in the drive roller area.  You also need pure Ar for the cover gas.  So, you most likely won't be happy trying to MIG Al without the kit.TeddCoHTP Microcut 400 & Invertig 160DC  Smith Dual Guard MD-510 OA Rig  Lincoln SP135+  Hobart Stickmate LX 235/160
