I am hoping to use my new remote tomorrow if the rain holds off.Wanted a way to put magnets on the remote to stick it to my table and to keep it there if the cord accidentially got pulled. The problem is they would have to be drilled into the box which I was not so fond of. Also wanted a way to sort of protect it from a drop and spatter. The frame is 1/2" square tube from Lowes while I was searching for the Bessey clamps. Top and bottom are 1/16" sheet. The remote rests on 2 pieces of 1/8" x 1.5" flat bar.Magnets were salvaged from control pendants. The handle also hooks onto my welder cart when not in use.Ignore the white zip ties, I'm getting black ones tomorrow. It did not turn out exactly like I wanted but it'll work. As you can see I'm terrible at tigging anything <1/8.Done with the HF165 tig @40a.Sent from my SPH-L710 using TapatalkTOO MANY TOOLS & NO MORE SPACE
Reply:Thanks Tackit, I measured the width of the box and forgot about the screws so it will not fit in from the front Has to be put in from the side.I like the expanded mesh idea, might cut some and screw it to the sides.Sent from my SPH-L710 using TapatalkTOO MANY TOOLS & NO MORE SPACE
Reply:It does look better.Found some aluminum mesh laying behind my tool box.I think some stainless screws would be nicer. Now I need to order some 1/2" tube plugs to finish the ends.Sent from my SPH-L710 using TapatalkTOO MANY TOOLS & NO MORE SPACE |
