Bend tester

What kind of material do you all recommend for the shoulders of a bend tester ?  Would 4130 tool steel work ?  What if I heat treated it ?  I have a tester made up now, but just tossed it together with mild steel shoulders (rollers that don't roll).   Just as I figured they don't seem like they will hold up long.Journeyman / Red Seal Welder (What a useless test)Miller CST 280Miller XMT 350Miller 12vs XtremeEvolution Evo 28 mag drillEvolution 380 Dry Cut saw
Reply:I used the two 1 1/2“ diameter rolls out of my Harbor Freight compact bender. Welded a piece of 1 1/2“ round stock perpendicular to a piece of 1 1/2“ shaft. To insert into my small shop press. Reply:How about big diesel wrist pins. That's what I use and they work good, mine don't spin either and I used 1.5 inch wrist pin. The shoulder can be any size but needs to be hardened and the plunger must be 1.5" and the shoulders 2 3/8 apart I believe.

Reply:heres the big diesel wrist pins in use bending 3/8 AL. My bender is setup for .5" too. My plunger is also a wrist pin right at 1.5". You could maybe use a big hardend bolt also
