I have a dynasty 350 and i just purchased a used wireless foot control.  I haven't played around with it too much, but i did notice on a few occasions when i stepped on the pedal it didn't initiate the arc.  I had to step on it again to start the arc.  For the guys that have the wireless foot control, has this ever happened to you or is something potentially wrong with the unit?  If you could let me know your experience with the foot control i would appreciate it.But i got to say, not dealing with the cord is a lot more convenient than i previously thought, and i am just a hobby welder. (can't imagine how helpful it would be for the pro's)
Reply:I would check the batteries first since it is used, couple of AA's.  If it's not that, what's your pre-flow set at? Pre-flow time delays the arc.  Hope this helps.Good luck.
Reply:Two things come to mind that caused this to happen to me. First, check to make sure that both electrical contacts to the battery box are out. They are spring loaded and can get stuck "in" instead of "out", so they aren't making contact. Also try new batteries. There are 3 AA's in the box. Hope that helps, let us know.  DougLincoln Idealarc Tig 300/300, Lincoln ranger 8, Lincoln LN-25, Miller Sidekick (keeps rockin!), Oxy/Acy torch, Miller XMT-304 with a Miller 60 series wire feeder and high freq. box, Profax positioner 8" chuck, Aaronson 3500# positioner 15" chuck
Reply:I have already taken the batteries and replaced them.  Once i get the unit to get arc starts, the led on the reciever blinks rapidly.  Once the led is blinking i dont seem to have issues.  The problem is when the unit sits for 5 min and i try to reinitiate.  I have to step on the pedal several times before the arc will start again.  And the times i can't get the arc to start, the pre/post flow is not flowing gas either.
Reply:The manual doesn't say so but my guess is it's a battery saver feature in that the transmitter stops communicating with the receiver if it sits idle for a period of time (your +/- 5 minutes).  Stepping on the peddle wakes the transmitter back up and any delay may be due to the system confirming the unique device address it's programed to.Just a guess though base on my experience with other wireless equipment.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110Save Second Base!

Reply:I've had similar issues with mine but only on first start up never after it's been working. Every now and then I have to unplug the receiver from the welder and plug it back in to get it to start working. It's worse about this if I just use the standby button on the front of my 280 instead of turning the machine completely off.Millermatic 252XMT 304'sDynasty 280DXHypertherm PowerMax 1250Miller Trailblazer 302 EFIOptima PulserXR feeder and XR Edge gun and more athttp://members.dslextreme.com/users/waynecook/index.htm
Reply:Most pro's will use a momentary switch...  no boxand save the wireless PERFECTING to be done from companies with too much moneybuying them and letting their Ape welders destroy it....Gotta Fly....Sometimes you just have to take the leap and build your wings on the way down...
