ran across another deal..

i have come across a older miller dialarc  pre 1990's or 80's.   its in fairly good shape for its age.   does anyone have much experience with one of these?  ive heard of people using them when they are in welding school or sometimes in job shops.   but it comes with leads as well.   let me know what you guys think.Miller Bobcat 255Hobart 190 and spoolgunLincoln AC 225Lincoln LN-25Rock and Roll hoochie coo
Reply:I've got two, one for a buddy, and both have high frequency. His has diodes that are out do is non-op, but should be an easy fix.I bought'em cuz they were affordable, durable, and will tig aluminum.I get the feeling you found a good deal, otherwise you wouldn't be asking. Reply:The gentleman wants 300 for his and it comes with leads. It's on fairly good shape and I'm riding up to go look at on Saturday. I also have option of going to look at a lincoln idealarc 250. (Roundtop) that's in ok shape.    What would you guys prefer?

Reply:I think I paid $300 for mine with OK leads.Drove 2.5hrs to get it.He insisted I test it, it welded so I bought it.I wish it had high freq but it don't.At 100 to 140 amps, you can weld all day or till your shop breaker pops!I run it on a 50 amp breaker!
