With the capabilities you guys (Hypertherm) have with making high quality Plasma Cutters, have you given any thought to making welders?Last edited by morgaj1; 07-20-2011 at 09:47 PM.
Reply:Lemme make a guess... The folks see a vision of a cut and work the machine backwards from there... sometimes a one trick pony supports the whole show. They're not #1 value added for no reason.Matt
Reply:We of course have "given thought" to producing welders. Our company is very focused on what we do....and the focus is on continuous improvement in the type of product that we currently make....so there (to date) has really not been enough time to think about diversifying into the welding markets. Our company founder, Dick Couch, uses the words "constancy of purpose"......which to me means there is a constant, relentless drive to ensure the products we build become and remain the best value in the industry.I can assure you that there are no current plans to produce welders at Hypertherm....but I wouldn't rule anything out!Jim Originally Posted by morgaj1With the capabilities you guys (Hypertherm) have with making high quality Plasma Cutters, have you given any thought to making welders?
Reply:If Hypertherm made different equipment all of the tools in my shop would be gray and orange. The best stuff on the market and no doubt if they made a welder it would be top of the heap too. If you buy anything but a hyperterm plama cutter, I got no sympathy for ya when your "other" brand breaks and isnt worth fixing...AN all that dont work for crap applies, my stuff just works without a hitch for years. Beat that...BobI'm spending my Kids inheritance, I dont like him that much anyway!!!!!!Enuff tools to do the job, enough sense to use em.Anybody got a spare set of kidneys? Trade? |
