Well if anybody has seen the other thread. Our new member salvorne updated his tig machine and sold me his linde ucc 305 with a torch, hose, water cooler, power cord, stick lead and a really nice cart. At a price I couldn't refuse. Well at least thats what i thought. We unloaded the welder into the shop and he was interested in buying some plants that we sell. After riding around the farm in the dodge looking at the various groundcovers we sell. He was a kid in a candy store. We loaded his truck up slap full of plants and he's gonna come back for more. So I owe the nursery $600 now. After he left I hooked up the regulator and the argon and wired a plug into it. my buddy stopped by on his way home from work. (He finished his schooling at Tulsa) we played with the high frequency and it seems to run fine after we robbed some collets and collet bodies from my scratch start torch. Didn't have any filler but did some ac aluminum welding. Heres pics of it all.Sent from my C811 4G using Tapatalk Attached Images

Reply:Flushed the water cooler out today. Solid brown water came out for over 2 hours. Might be worth making a new tank.....Sent from my C811 4G using Tapatalk Attached Images
Reply:swamp; i was sorely tempted to buy one of those old warhorses but realized i could never maneuver one into my basement and the insides would rust away if i stuck one in the garage. those machines will weld all day long every day. i'm not sure about power consumption but it looks like you got a great machine.i.u.o.e. # 15queens, ny and sunny fla

Reply:Wow,  50amp??I had the same machine. Supposed to be 100amp breaker. But that's at 400amps, 80% duty cycle.I sold mine for $100. With only the foot pedal. That machine is a beast, and if you've got the power to feed it, you got a thirsty dynasty 350 .Good luck with the machine.John

Reply:Not the cooler on this one. Its got a bad rust problem through electrolysis. Salvorone said If id pick up some 10ga sheet we'd build a new one at his shop.Sent from my C811 4G using Tapatalk
Reply:Huh....Wow, I could of sworn it was 230v.....Oh well.I got mine for free.Kept all the leads, and sold it for $100.Mine was branded union carbide.Anyway.John

Reply:Hmmm....I'm not surprised.93amps is really hot.Good luck with it.
Reply:So I tried to stick weld with it the other day. And it has a very weak arc, not even enough to melt the steel on a 3/32 7018. Im thinking it has a bad connection somewhere. Is there any do's and don'ts with these machines?Sent from my C811 4G using Tapatalk
