10" fence post cap ideas

I have a former customer with a 9" or 10" gate post. He was asking if I had any idea's on how to cap it, to make it look more presentable. Any ideas???"Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! Reply:You can make a round cap to fit the diameter of the post and put a 4" diameter pipe in the center to hold a post lamp. Even if there isn't electric available fir power, at least it will look nice..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:I saw the other day where you can get a barrel of Jack Daniels for around 9 grand.  I'd volunteer to help empty the barrel.  I bet one could come up with something to do with the empty barrel.  And whatever you come up with would probably look pretty good, at least for awhile.Tim

Reply:Yeah, Orange peel it.  I just did a orange peel cap for a spiral stair.  I made my template from a formula found it online. Much heat and time, at least  for me.   The suggest 6 or more segments for a smoother finish.
