Hi All Been doing some structural steelwork at the Canadian Embassy in London, Just around the corner from Trafalgar Square  They are having a big refit and i'm doing the floor strengthening side at the momentThe old steels had to come out from the floor this old one was a massive 30 ft long and weighed about 6 tonnesvery old and mainly all riveted Below is the open floorspace with all the support steels removedThe new steel beam ready to go inHad to burn with the oxy/acet quiet a lot of the old steelworkand finally the finished jobwith one of the steelworkers there looking a bit tired to say the least!!Next job there is the 5 story feature staircase but thats another post!
