Hey guys, I am new here, but was looking for any suggestions on getting the engine apart from the rotor. It is  p218g with 1900 hours. When running it smokes blue, BAD. I took off heads and it was pretty carboned up. One cylinder had slight scoring, not too deep, can be honed out easy enough(see pic). Since it had that many hours I figured I would re- ring it, new valve seals. The problem is that I can't seperate motor from rotor(see pic). I started prying, but was starting to pull rotor out of armature. Short of a hydraulic powerpack, I don't know. Any suggestions would be appreciated.                              Thanks Attached Images
Reply:try heat and where are you going to get the rebuild kit for the motor
Reply:We got one of these Performer Onans in this week with 6700 hours and a 6500 hour unit about two months ago. Lincoln uses a crank with a very long taper. Probably the best way to remove the rotor is to let it sit with penetrating oil for some time and tap rotor right at crank with aluminum block/soft hammer. There is a larger threaded opening on rotor end away from engine. If you will get a matching bolt and a rod that is a little shorter than the mounting bolt, insert rod into rotor, and use this bolt to push against crank, you have the best shot of no damage. weldersales
Reply:Thanks,I will try that, I ordered rings and rebuild kit from onanparts.com.
