I am planing to install an alignment laser pointer on my resistance laser welding machine 60kVA (TECNA No.8005) for the work piece alignment prior to the spot welding. But I just get the problem as below:I need alignment laser pointer is pointed continuously, but I am worry that whether there is frequency interference between alignment laser and my resistance laser welding machine?I have chosen an alignment laser dot like this: http://www.berlinlasers.com/532nm-gr...aser-alignmentI want to install dot, and cross line laser alignment tools on my laser welding machine. I got my welding machine from 2001. Pls give me some advice. Thanks in advance.
Reply:If you use a cross hair system, made with two line projecting lasers, you could place them in such a way that when the arm comes down to do a weld it would block the lasers. See my picture: Attached ImagesIan TannerKawasaki KX450 and many other fine tools

Reply:Originally Posted by ManoKaiIRef Sheet - TECNA 80XXYour statement infers your Techna currenlty uses lasers for spot welding. That machine is a resistance welding machine sans lasers. Correct? Any laser, or in your case a 532nm Green Class IIIA variant, will operate nominally as a locating device. The electrics of your machine have no direct impact on the laser's coherence and will not result in beam interference.Practically, what measurement tolerances are you chasing? |
