Lathe chuck

I recently bought a bigger lathe.  It is a Clausing with a pretty big 3 jaw chuck.  This chuck has more Allen capscrews than my local Lowe's hardware store.I see where those around the outside rim hold it together, like my old Atlas 3 jaw, but there are others.  There are a couple of small screws towards the center of the chuck, on each side of the jaws.There are also 4 screws on the barrel of the chuck.  These are all foreign to me.  I downloaded a manual for a similar lathe, but the chuck isn't mentioned.  There is no name that I can find on the chuck.
Reply:Is that a Buck chuck?  The one three jaw Buck chuck I have has four allen screws around the barrel, and they allow you to center the chuck much in the way that you would center a four jaw chuck.
Reply:There is no name on the chuck that I can find.  I looked all over.On the  Buck, I suppose you loosen one side a bit and tighten the 180° screwthe same amount?  Do you have to loosen the screws that hold it together?Thanks
