I will be in the process of dialing in some parameters. This is what I have;A 3/8" thick repad being applied to a 3/8" hull. I will be using a T 71 flux core wire with 100% CO2, wire being .045". Customer is asking for a 3/8" sized fillet weld all around the repad, using stringers, no weaving. I will be applying 3 passes to make the proper 3/8" fillet profile. This is what there old supplier gave them, and they ran the stringers also in the uphand progression. Any suggestions on a starting point for parameters? They are trying to tell me the old supplier used 26-28 volts with around 325-350 WFS. I think this is totally out in left field with these settings. Normally when we have even done a 3G on 1/2" plate, we have used 23.5-24 volts with 230-245 WFS. Always passed bend tests.
