Howdy! As a newer forum member I wanted to contribute something to make up for all of the questions that I have been asking, so here it is.When I designed my new welding cart, the plan was to keep all of my welding gear inside of it when it wasn't being utilized. Currently I leave the TIG torch hoses connected to the cooler since I am using it a lot, but during periods when I won't be using it for a while I plan to store the torch and hoses in one of the cart drawers. I didn't want to have to drain the hoses or have coolant puddling on the floor or in a cart drawer, so I found some leak-proof quick disconnects that work perfectly for the task. The leak proof brass quick connects are from the carpet cleaning industry and are used on cleaning wand hoses. Here's my new cart:Here is my welder + water cooler setup:These are the larger half of the brass quick connects attached to the torch hoses:Finally, here you can see the smaller connectors on the cooler along with a coolant filter in the return line:How well does this setup work?  Perfectly!  I was worried that the combination of connector + coolant filter might cause flow restrictions, but as you can see in the video linked below the system runs perfectly with no leaks and plenty of flow.  Be certain to watch how quickly the flow alarm comes on once the hose is disconnected as well as how little fluid leaks out during disconnection.  So far I am very happy with the results and will update this thread if any issues develop. My water cooled setup in action:Any comments or suggestions for improving my setup would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
Reply:LumaxVery nice setup!  Where did you get your disconnects?  Do you have part numbers for the quick disconnect setup?Regards
Reply:Beautiful setup.  The disconnects look like miniaturized hydraulic disconnects.

Reply:They look exactly like the hydro disconnects at work. Id imagine they could be purchased @ Grainger
Reply:I got them on ebay and also got the left hand thread adapters there. I can provide info if you PM me.

Reply:Awesome setup.  I'd be worried about the length of the tube where the filter is.  Seems like a long lever arm on the fitting.  Maybe a 90?
Reply:Damn.  I'm going to have to speak with Paul about some anodized fittings.Hope you don't mind, but I'm going to copy your setup.

Reply:Oscar - Any issues with leaks or fluid leakage when you disconnect or when the lines are disconnected? The ones I am using seal instantly, only two drops of leakage each time they are disconnected under pump pressure, one drop each with no pump pressure.
Reply:I was gonna answer, but then I thought, hey you should just post in my thread because you're stealing all the glory!   1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig! HTP Invertig 400HTP Invertig 221HTP ProPulse 300HTP ProPulse 200 x2HTP ProPulse 220MTSHTP Inverarc 200TLP HTP Microcut 875SC
