Half ton truck bed into trailer?

My father bought a truck that was rolled just for its engine and now we have left is the frame and bed so we decided to turn it into a trailer like this https://www.google.com/search?q=goog...F%3B1379%3B666 now I would like some opinions and suggestions. I was thinking of using 3/32 7018s for the welding of the frame since half ton truck frames are about 3/16 thick and 7018 is a rod that has good weld flexibility and strength and for the minor non-critical stuff 6011.  I have a 180 amp DC stick welder for the welding which is more than enough for the frame and material ill use which is 3/16 to 1/4 mild steel. Does anyone have any opinions, tips, and pointers? also pictures will help.Also I  will practice a lot with 7018s before i use them since I don't get the chance to use them often.Lincoln pro core 125 14''chop saw7 inch grinder,2-4.5 inch grinders,electric die grinder.Half inch drillAnd alot of hand tools
Reply:My old man would use 6010. He said it would flex and stretch better than 7018 as it would be rigid and crack at the toe of the weld. Reply:Just make sure you make the tongue long if it's a short bed. The axle in the short bed is too close to center and will make the trailer weave badly while towing it. Putting a tool box on the tongue will help as it will put more weight up front.
