Reply:Search, use "positioner" and you'll find any number of systems.http://weldingweb.com/search.php?searchid=3126621I can remember one done with a hand wheel underneath and a simple pair of bearings to support the shaft, a few done on lazy susans, one using a right angle gearbox and so on..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Here's mine. Cheap engine stand and a headstock from a Clausing 6300 lathe. I got a killer deal on the headstock...it's actually a L00 spindle nose. I pulled the guts out to reduce resistance and weight...kept them just in case this needs to go to someone's lathe more than I need it for a positioner. Still need to work out a motor drive and possibly a pedal.
Reply:would this work for you ??
