Magnifier safety glasses?

Anyone use them or have a recommendation on Brand?A quick Amazon search, the 3M brand look pretty nice... http://www.amazon.com/3M-Readers-Gla...%2B1.5+Diopterthese look like the best of both worlds...  anytime I put on safety glasses, I can't see a damn thing.   so I eventually just put on the "cheater" glasses and continue on.... until of course I catch a spark to the eye and end up at the optometrist... Reply:I often use the bifocal type since I only need readers. The magnified part is too small but they do work and are definitely better than a spark in the eye.Couldn't tell you what brand offhand but I'll look at the ones I haven't opened when I get home.  The 3M are likely better.GravelThe difference between theory and practice is that in theory there is no difference.

Reply:I think Nemesis has become my favorite brand of safety glasses. As an experiment I tried their bifocals but as I did not actually need them at the time I found them to be more a pain and gave them to my dad.I like these very much from Harbor freight. Magnifier Head Strap With LightsI would like to get a better quality brand soon though.Also their Fluorescent Magnifying Lamp is good for detail work.
Reply:Barnes welding supply  has full, single purpose magnifying safety glasses for about $12. They are decent quality. I just have 1.25X and they have an ok sweet spot. I only need to check my welds or work on the machines. The Jackson bifocals are worthless as the magnifier is too low and small. The rest of the time i wear Jackson nemesis clear glasses. They stay on my nose and don't dig into my head when under a hood or 3M mask.Last edited by deafman; 10-15-2015 at 08:14 PM.

Reply:I go down to the eyeglass store and have my script put in a pair of uvex safety glasses with photo gray transitions, works good for me
Reply:I use the full view magnifiers. I buy them for 7-10$ on eBay. They work decent.
