As always, first and foremost, Paul P. at HTP America is to thank for hooking me up with all the cool stuff. Seeing as how he knows I have several torches, a while back he sold me some fittings that I am just barely getting to install. Quik-disconnect's on both water lines, AND on the argon hose, make swapping water cooled TIG torches so easy I want to do it all the time! Reply:Oscar - Any issues with leaks or fluid leakage when you disconnect or when the lines are disconnected? The ones I am using seal instantly, only two drops of leakage each time they are disconnected under pump pressure, one drop each with no pump pressure.
Reply:Well hello there, lol.No leakage at all from what I can tell. I haven't disconnected them while the pump is running though, only when the cooler is off. I'm not in that much of a hurry to swap out torches that I can't flick the switch to "off". The only leakage is from the water contained within the torch's rubber hoses, but I've come up with a quick fix for that so as to not waste any water at all from the hoses. I have a feeling that the leakage you're seeing might be the same thing---from the hose ends and NOT the fittings, possibly. 1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig! Reply:With the cooler pump running, if I disconnect the hoses I get a teensy weensy trickle which is to be expected. Probably about 10 drops worth. Obviously I'll just turn off the cooler if I need to change hoses, or just change them before I start everything. 1st on WeldingWeb to have a scrolling sig!
