Hi Guys,I'm doing some soldering of 316 stainless to brass.  I'm fluxing, heating, then applying fluxed 65% silver wire.  Everything has been holding great.  My questions is, how to I remove the post solder residue from my parts.  It's a blackish color.  Wirebrush doesn't do much.  Am I doing something wrong?  When I see the pros solder the things that I am, their final piece looks clean and shiny.  The area to clean can get very tight and hard to get at.  Is there a chemical to use?
Reply:thats the burned flux..try heating it up with a torch and wipe with a towel..Of all the things I lost I miss my mind the most...I know just enough about everything to be dangerous......You cant cure stupid..only kill it...
Reply:You can try to dissolve some white flux in hot water and soak the piece for a while if it is small enough. Under ideal circumstances the black will be stripped/etched off.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR" MillerDynasty700DX,Dynasty350DX4ea,Dynasty200DX,Li  ncolnSW200-2ea.,MillerMatic350P,MillerMatic200w/spoolgun,MKCobraMig260,Lincoln SP-170T,PlasmaCam/Hypertherm1250,HFProTig2ea,MigMax1ea.
