My first time attempting this, got tired of looking at my Invertec 350 setting next to my Ln-25, so I thought I'll try this flux-core on my Invertec 275.So,Hooked the Ln-25 to the neg port on my Invertec, stick mode, full arc force.Hooked the ground lead in the positive, VS cable also.
Reply:Tried vertical up, definetly need more practice on that.Tried flat next.

Reply:Looks to me like your vertical up is to cold. And you need to hang a little longer on the sides. You need to first build a shelf. Then point the gun straight in, or slightly down. NR-211, or NR-212 could care less if you run it on CC or CV, but if you have CV use it!  Attached ImagesDon’t pay any attention to meI’m just a hobbyist!CarlDynasty 300V350-Pro w/pulseSG Spool gun1937 IdealArc-300PowerArc 200ST3 SA-200sVantage 400
Reply:A trick I used to use with a CC power source, was to set my amps just like I would with 7018 of a given size for the joint I was welding and adjust the feed speed to give me a smooth arc. Usually that gave me a good starting point to twiddle with. Mostly it was right on though. It took switching to Miller Trailblazers with meters before I stopped running on CC. My favorite shop power source was an old Dialarc 300. Really worked good. Just a suggestion.
Reply:Yeah,For some reason vertical just didn't want to flow, like I'm used to with 7018.I'll try and mess with the settings, and get some more metal.Kinda fun running this flux core, wish it was on an Invertec v350pro.
Reply:John,I too am glad you are wearing your mask. How do you like that one? It does not fit to well under my Jackson and my nose hits the inside. I agree on holding the sides longer on the vertical and also tighten up that weave. Flats look great. What are your specs on everything?-Jonathan
Reply:It was between 150-200 amps, both flat and vertical.Messed around with wfs, didn't really pay attention to it.I put one hand on the knob and welded, adjusting the wfs, till it was really smooth.Looking at the dial, it was around 200 ipm.Plus or minus 20.Really need to tack up some more 3/8 bar, and burn some more wire. Thanks fellas.Btw,That respirator, miller brand, not sure of ser #, but I'll check. It fits my mutt face great!!Very comfortable....John~Btw,Jonathan.I'm wearing a polkadot cap, so I shouldn't be having any problems, right???!!Last edited by AKweldshop; 07-03-2014 at 02:00 AM.
Reply:Back in the 1980s I ran tons of NR-211. If you're ever in Dillingham, another guy and myself welded the city dock together with NR-211. When you get a chance pick up some NR-212, or Hobart's 21-B. I think it was the mid 1980s we switched to 21-B for just about everything. Here's some NR-212, and 21-B ran on CC with an SA-200.
