I was just wondering where you put the cooler?  It doesn't look like there is any slick way to add the cooler to this machine.  Please send a pic if you have this combo!Thank you,Jason
Reply:I don't know why Lincoln didn't make the PT225 fit the same platform as the PT275 or PT375....They came with an undercart that has a drawer where the cooler is located. I would dock it on the top of the PT225 like they did with the Power Mig 140C combo package. So you would have a cooler there instead of a wire feeder. Here's a page from the 2009 catalog I scanned. Reply:TubularFab-have you purchased a CoolArc, yet?
Reply:Actually, at school I found 3 CoolArc 40's and the starter kits with WP20 torches to go with the PT225's that were new to our shop last year.  I personally cannot stand the big #17 air cooled torches, and all of the consumables we have are for the 20's anyway. So, I was just looking at setting them up, and didn't see an obvious way to do it.  It may not be readily apparent, but the Cool Arc 40 is really long - I think it would hang off the front when pushed back against the bottle.  But, that is where I was going to start!
Reply:Well, it looks like I'll have to make brackets to bolt them on top in one of the following configurations.  They are a good bit longer than the welder itself; in fact they aren't much smaller overall than the welder!  So, either it overhangs the front a good bit somewhat shielding the controls of the welder or it looks goofy standing straight up in front of the bottle...  What do you think? Reply:Can you mount it vertically on the side of the unit, so it's not taller than the bottle? What if you mounted it diagonally on the side, so it was down low at the rear by the bottle, but up high at the front with the other controls?Sheesh, that is a crappy setup. Can I make a totally off the wall suggestion? Make yourself a totally new cart. Put the cooler on the bottom, since it is the longest, then a shelf to put the welder on, and the bottle still in the rear! Then it is all settled up the way YOU want it to be. Just a thought. If you decide to change your setup, I still think the PT375 under cart cooler is the way to go. It is compact. I bought it even though I don't have the PT375. I use it on a harbor freight cart to use with my tig.Lincoln Power Mig 210MP MIGLincoln Power Mig 350MP - MIG and Push-PullLincoln TIG 300-300Lincoln Hobby-Weld 110v  Thanks JLAMESCK TIG TORCH, gas diffuser, pyrex cupThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 101My brain
Reply:Unfortunately we already have a problem with the welders being too wide for the slots between the booths, so I really don't want to put the coolers on the sides of the machines.  I cannot believe Lincoln didn't design it so it would go under in place of the drawer or stack nicely on top of the machine!  Oh well, not a priority right now as they are fully functional air cooled.  I just hate to see 3 brand new coolers sit in the corner not being used.
Reply:I think those coolers were designed to be mounted on the wall at a station. And if those welders are in a booth and not being moved around, put em on the dang wall dude!Lincoln Power Mig 210MP MIGLincoln Power Mig 350MP - MIG and Push-PullLincoln TIG 300-300Lincoln Hobby-Weld 110v  Thanks JLAMESCK TIG TORCH, gas diffuser, pyrex cupThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 101My brain
