I was tig welding stainless steel and goofed and grabbed a contaminated tungsten. The school shop lights do suck, me learning and always going to fast for my own good never helps.I had a good laugh. I was so confused for like 5 seconds. Lincoln PowerMig 200AHP 200x 3rd Gen.Miller 211 AASMiller Digital Elite "POWMIA"Victor Oxy SetLotos ltp5000d

Reply:Not a mistake, but my son was doing a TIG weld buildup on the tip of a turbine blade at work. Feeding small Inconel filler. The lead welder came up behind him and plucked the filler out of his hand. He had a WTF moment there.Same guy would sometimes monkey with the settings on the Maxstar 200 he was using. So my son went deep into the menu system of that guy's unit and set every obscure setting he possibly could to some wacky value. Reply:I was doing a bunch of aluminum sheet metal work over at a buddies wharehouse and the shift lever on my dirt bike broke clean off that I had rode over that day. I don't know why but I just assumed it was aluminum I think because it was on my mind all day. I had a sanding disk on the grinder and buzzed a bevel on both pieces to knock off the "anodize". It was kind of dark in the building but I don't know why I didn't notice sparks. I thought, man I hate welding aluminum that has been anodized it always contaminates everything. Funny how the painted steel shift lever welded back together with some 5356 held up almost all they way till I got home.Sent from my SCH-I605 using TapatalkRyanMiller Multimatic 200 tig/spool gun/wireless remoteMillermatic 350P, Bernard/XR Python gunsMiller Dynasty 350, Coolmate 3.5 & wireless remoteCK WF1 TIG wire feederMiller Spectrum 375 XtremeOptrel e684Miller Digital EliteMiller Weld-Mask
