My lincoln sa 200 is an f-162 generator rated for 1450 rpm bolted to an f-163 rated at 1550 rpm. Is that extra 100 rpm going to effect the amperage or voltage output of the machine, meaning when i set the voltage to 60 its actually around 75? just wondering My vintage equipment 1957 Lincoln sa 2001980's Lincoln 225 AC1952 F-2 ford truck1957 F-250 ford truck
Reply:Should only be 64v, in theory.Robert
Reply:You could set the governor so its 64 volts.David Real world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
Reply:stupid question, but there isnt any way that the 100 rpm faster can hurt the welder any? If it wont hurt it, im just gonna use it and get used to it if there is any difference its not very noticeable. Its just that looking at the amperage and voltage it acts like its running hotter than what i set it at. If i set it at amperage 100 and set the voltage to 70, it acts like its running at 80 or so amps. I guess im just being ocd My vintage equipment 1957 Lincoln sa 2001980's Lincoln 225 AC1952 F-2 ford truck1957 F-250 ford truck
Reply:It IS running hotter.  What ever the RPM spec for the machine is what it should be.DavidReal world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.
