I am looking at buying the Lincoln Power Mig 140C. I can get it for $550.00 at my local Airgas dealer. I was wondering if the welder is worth the extra $200 over getting one of the small Hobart 125 EZ or the Lincoln weld packs ( retail machines ). It will be used for light welding, right now I have a project for some grill grates and building a 55 gal drum cooker. What ever I get will be the 120V unit due to having a place to power it. If I need a bigger unit I have access to a 230V stick and Lincoln gas welder. Just trying to see if the Power mig is that much better than one of the weld pac units. Thanks for the information.Danny
Reply:Can't really compare it to a HH125EZ since the EZ is a Fluxcore only machine. The 140C will run Solid wire as well as Fluxcore. The 140C is the top of the line unit in the Lincoln 120v class as it has continuous Voltage selection and a Cast AL  wire drive system. So yes it is worth 200.00 bux more.Do you really need a 140C? dat is the question eh?Ed Conleyhttp://www.screamingbroccoli.com/MM252MM211 (Sold)Passport Plus & Spool gunLincoln SP135 Plus- (Gone to a good home)Klutch 120v Plasma cutterSO 2020 benderBeer in the fridge
