how should I TIG weld this?

hello all,quick question.   Im working on this 18 gauge stainless steel sheet metal project.  I want to weld each layer together but do not want to see the welds.   I was thinking start with the bottom one, put the next one one and drill a few holes and tack them.  then do the same all the way to the smallest last one.  that one I could epoxy on.    thoughts?image by TDL028, on Flickr

Reply:Yep, plug weld from the back. Drill holes in each layer except the top, work from the top sheet down (whichever layer is most "proud")
Reply:Plug welding .050 SS will see some distortion, 'wowing' of the sheet.Try some test pieces first.Alternative is bonding with Sika construction adhesive-polyurethane,available at H-D.Blackbird

Reply:Automotive "Goop" is very good adhesive material.........zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:I was thinking of the stuff that holds on rear view mirrors  ,might cost a little bit more than some of the other glues .Butt not much when I got some metal epoxy and it was $98  for a small can.

Reply:I've got enough 1/8" surface rusted sheet to do a 5/8" table layered-up.    Same approach? Add 2 layers to the top sheet at a time?  Am only using one sheet now and it is pretty wimpy. Reply:use Sika flex 221 will hold them. this stuff is amazing. we use it at work to glue metal roofs on trolleys and the hold so this would be no problem
