I have followed all the related posts and have not had any luck in finding the problem. However, I think I have narrowed it down to the High Voltage Transformer (M19285-5) in the HF circuit. What I need to know and have not been able to find is what the primary and secondary voltages should be or the amperage rating. If anyone can shed some light on this it would greatly be appreciated.
Reply:The primary is 115V, the secondary voltage should be around 3500V. Make sure you have the proper meter to read this high voltage. Also disconnect the transformer secondary when you are taking the reading so you don't read a "false" low voltage due to a bad capacitor.Gary Haunemail [email protected] http://haunsystemsrepair.com
Reply:Welddoc I have had the Cap checked and is OK. I have no continuity in the secondary windings. Would you know what the resistance should be? I have a guy that rewinds motors & coils that can fix it if I can get the info on it. Thanks for the response- Mike |
