Head board

Hey everyone, I want to share a project i built over the past couple weeks, I made a headboard for my girlfriend for her birthday, she's been asking me to make her a headboard for about a year now and I been pushing it aside, but then I finally made her one but shhhhh she doesn't know about it! Haha.... Ignore my messy area it usually isn't like that!  I made it out of steel tubing and 1/4 inch solid round... The end posts are 1.5 inch OD and the middle braces and arch in 1 inch OD with 1/4 inch rod scroll work,... The straight pieces you see is 2 pieces of 1/4 inch rod welded together, I didn't want to do anything crazy there because you won't see it anyway with all the pillows.. Trying to come up with a design for the scrolls was a pain in the *ss... Because I had no idea what I wanted it to look like, so a lot of 1/4 inch round stock was wasted in the process lol but once I started in the middle the rest of it flowed right in... The post toppers I bought, but I made the base for then to fit on the end posts, I made those on the lathe at work but the rest was made in my basement...right now in painting it at work and will post pictures of the painted product today.. Oh and everything was tig welded using my syncrowave 210I am very happy with how it came out, that's one of the bigger projects I designed and made. and with only being 22 there will be more projects to come, my skills will get better, and my ideas will get more creative as time goes on. Reply:thanks dude, it works alright, its just a harbor freight one, some one the set screws kepy comming loose so you would have to stop and tighten them up every so often.... but it got the job done
