Reply:Where'd you get the pins you're using in the hinges on the new Lincoln welder in the bed of your truck?  Those are much more convenient for removing the panels than the factory pins with circlips...Benson's Mobile Welding - Dayton, OH metro area - AWS Certified Welding Inspector

Reply:Not to sound rude at all, but is it worth while rebuilding on of these. Parts cost. I have 3 of these in my yard from when my father was in business. They need some work. Reply:Welder Rob, that's an interesting tailgate on your truck.  Is it stainless?  It looks as if it's part of a seperate body inside your truck bed?  I'd like to see some more pics, it looks very interesting!Nice job on the Lincoln and the reels too!MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op
Reply:To answer your question about why I'm doing this project is that when finished I will have a brand new 1960's red face for less than the cost of a new machine, and I'm old enough to indulge myself in this pleasure.Any way the liner and boxes tailgate are all aluminum, also the slider is a steel aluminum combo...presently I'm welding with the 300 D and because I weld I have too much time to think about what will be better...I also have a fold out steel fab table with pipe vise etc not shown. presently doing the generator on the sa200, engines all rebuilt, stainless canopy an lower front panel done now...soon final assembly Attached Images

Reply:Your 'slider' and fold out table sound very interesting.  Do you have any pics that show the  'liner', 'slider' and table more?I have my Bobcat on a sliding frame too, inside the removeable utility body that fits inside the factory pickup bed.   I posted pics of it in the 'post your tools' topic on this forum.  I'd like to see your setup .MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op

Reply:The Orange faceplate is the original one, I actually never saw this plate as red!! I've own the machine for many years, so wonder if it's faded or just being a canadian model it comes off colour. Ha Ha !!
Reply:you can get them that color, man in Okla. gave the the places name and I've lost it somewhere, Colo. I think Put my red face on last week, had the engine gone through and balanced. working any bugs out now then it goes to the paint shop to match the truck and bed. Congrats on a nice job
