Building diesel tank question

I would like to build a diesel tank; it will be primarily stationary but could be used as a transfer tank occasionally.I wanted around a hundred-gallon capacity, so was thinking 30 in x 30 in x 30 in based on this formula:Length (in inches) x Width (in inches) x Height (in inches) / 231 will give you the gallons in a given area. Or 1 gallon = 0. 1339 cubic foot30 x 30 x 30 = 116 gallons1)What gauge steel, was thinking 12 gauge2)Do I need a baffle in the middle, or maybe in a X configuration if I do need to use it as a transfer tank?3)Any other internal structural members?Millermatic 252Lincoln 3200HDHobart Stickmate AC/DCHypertherm Powermax45
Reply:When I built my diesel tank, 2' x 2' x 4'. I put three baffles in it. Two of the baffles are 1-inch off the bottom. The center baffle is welded to the bottom of the tank with half holes in the bottom of the baffle. I made it out of 10-GA steel. Reply:Unless you really want to build it, they are pretty cheap to buy, about $3-500.  It would be tough for me to build and paint one for thatExperience is something you get right after you need it
