Anyone seen one of these ? Its a 370mm saw or 15" and has some ridiculous cutting capacity. Price isn't that bad either, $5800 for a single speed, 220v machine. I've been thinking id go with a Scotchman 350mm but after googling and seeing these, I have to think twice. Ive talked to the owner of Maxisaw and wasn't disappointed. He spend years at Doringer, who's saw is a USA version of the German made HABERLE. And his Maxisaw is a refined, larger version of the Doringer. http://www.maxisaw.com/product.phpIm looking to finally buy a real saw in a month or so. Glad to retire the Milwaukee 6190.
Reply:A single speed will limit the types of metal you can cut , unless you never want to cut Stainless I go the variable speed if shelling big dollars. (well given I never cut mild steel only ally or SS )Even its slowest speed seems a bit fast for Stainless, my 300mm cold saw runs at 20 rpm , with a 370 dia. blade its slowest is 27 which is another 66.5% increase in tooth speed .Maybe mine is very slow and on the lower limit , Maybe some of the Machinists amoungst can say definitively....A good guess is better than a bad measurement
Reply:I just watched the video for the MX 370FA... the fully automatic version of the MX 370. Nice saws.
