Number two of three that followed me home today. It's a runner but the face was sucker punched and shorted out the range switch. Melted one of the output cables in half. Checks OK with the DVM but I'll hit it with a megger tomorrow and check all the windings.About a 1988 model with a new replacement Onan P218 back in 2000. This is one of Lincolns absolute BEST portable welders in it's class. Almost bullet proof. Over the years it's been very rare that I ever had to go inside a G9PRO for anything other than checking the brushes and cleaning slip rings. With the 18HP Onan 275 amps is typical. This one will get a light overhaul if the windings turn out OK and a 20HP cam and main jet. 280-300 amps with a couple extra ponies is possible.I don't think I have enough winter projects to keep me busy!
