Lincoln weldanpower 225 im308

Hey all,I have a lincoln im308 weldanpower 225/210/6 powered by a single cyl 16hp Briggs. I need to know how the wiring hooks up at the starter solenoid. I was running fine and ran out of gas. Went to restart and she just clunks. I have found a replacement solenoid (in stock at napa auto parts 33 bucks) The solenoids are exacly the same and when I hooked it back up I get nothing, not even a clunk. The battery is good, the starter was fine, the wiring being hooked up wrong at the solenoid is the only thing I can think of. The solenoid has four posts, the large lug to the battery(plus one end of a smaller 16 gauge? wire that also goes to one of the smaller lugs) , large lug to the starter, I have two additional 16 gauge wires. One is a ground set by placing the switch in start. The other wire I am unsure of. Has no voltage and seems to be an open. Is this for shut down? What is the jumper for? If anyone has one of these machines and can help me out I would appreciate it.

Reply:I thank you for the info so far. I came across one small wiring schematic on line for it but the jumper was not mentioned. I have been looking for the manual on here and on line but not finding it. Am I missing it here? I believe the last wire goes to the amperage meter on the front panel. The two small posts are labled s and I from the best I can tell. Thanks again for your help.
