I have a Lincoln 210 MP and a Miller Multimatic 200 sitting on my bench. Both are brand new in their respective boxes. Only one can stay as my sole all-in-one welder for hobbyist fabrication, and the other needs to be sold.Which would you keep? Maybe better put: which would you rather have, cost aside?

Reply:After you decide which one that you want to get rid of and it's gone, that will be the one that you should have kept. LOL. I'd keep both of them. So many welders, so little time.Miller Millermatic 252Miller Syncrowave 200Liincoln AC-DC 225Victor O-A Set
Reply:I have a millermatic 200 and it would be hard to beat. I got mine new in 1988 it is one of the best mig welders that miller ever made.  If yours has the 14 pin plug on it that is the machine I would keep for sure.

Reply:I'm not familiar with either machine but what about renting each for a day to play with so no hours or use on yours? Experience is sometimes the best teacher and a used welder always brings less than one still in the box unused. Of course there is probably no warranty to the prospective purchaser so that negates a lot of positive to not using it.SlobPurveyor of intimate unparalleled knowledge of nothing about everything.Oh yeah, also an unabashed internet "Troll" too.....

Reply:I've never run the new lincoln mp210The Miller is supposed to be a beefed up Passport with the added features and I really like the Miller inverter they put in the Passport. But no real comparison to offer :}Ed Conleyhttp://www.screamingbroccoli.com/MM252MM211 (Sold)Passport Plus & Spool gunLincoln SP135 Plus- (Gone to a good home)Klutch 120v Plasma cutterSO 2020 benderBeer in the fridge

Reply:I use a Multimatic pretty much every day, I'd keep that one. Sweetest MIG arc I've ever experienced, runs 7018 like a dream and it has a gas solenoid for TIG so no need for a gas valve torch. Oh, and the Miller is made right here in the USA.Last edited by Sharon Needles; 01-12-2016 at 01:26 AM.

Reply:I would sell them both and buy a dedicated machine for your favorite process.
Reply:I have a multimatic, had it about two years, and so far, it welds great. We use it for field welding, mostly flux core, but stick, and tig too. All three work very well. The stick and tig feel identical to my maxstar 150.I have not used the lincoln, but after checking one out in the welding shop, the case and knobs seem wimpy and would not survive long in an industrial setting, or as a mobile welding set, but in a home shop it would probably be just fine. I'd suggest you unbox the 210mp and check out the drive roll, some have had issues: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YfdYDMWZeoLast edited by fortyonethirty; 01-12-2016 at 11:55 AM.Ian TannerKawasaki KX450 and many other fine tools
Reply:Originally Posted by Broccoli1Well they are pretty much the same type of machine so there's no real benefit to keeping both.I'd sell one for sure and put the money towards tools I didn't have or an AC/DC tig machine.
Reply:I've had my multimatic 2 years now.  The TIG and stick functions are slick, the mig is auto pilot, and its super convinent for bringing in and out of storage.Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Tapatalk
