Petrogen?

Hi I was wondering if anyone has had experience with any of petrogens cutting systems. I have recently viewed on YouTube and heard from a fellow welder about them. If you haven't I suggest you look them up and maybe watch their video on YouTube. The stuff cuts on pump gas!!! Anybodies thoughts or experiences much appreciated thank you. Reply:Been discussed several times here. We had one, but it really wasn't all that useful the few times we used it when I was working with the company. Reply:they cost over 3 grand. They are great for serious scrapping- cutting 6" plate, taking apart bridges, cutting up scrap in a junkyard all day long- because the fuel cost is so low.But for a small shop, the initial cost, versus a top of the line Smith or Victor set, means you would not break even for about ten years. Much cheaper to just go with an old tried and true, bulletproof Victor. Yep, acetylene aint cheap, but you have to buy a whole lot of it to get up to the price of a Petrogen setup.

Reply:Yeah I got all the oxy acetylene stuff I need.  I just thought it was kinda  cool. Thanks a ton for the info and comments guys.
